About Block Knight

Block Knight is a block puzzle with a sword. Drag pieces onto an 8×8 board, fill rows and columns, and every line you clear hits a monster. There is no timer: the game is turn-based and never rushes you.

How a fight works

Every piece is one of four gems. Clear red Strike cells to deal damage, blue Guard cells for armor, green Mend cells to heal and gold Charge cells to fill your Blast, a free bomb you can drop anywhere. The enemy always shows what it will do next and how many turns you have left, and a ghost preview shows what your move will do before you place it.

Modes

• Quest Road— 100 levels across 10 lands, from the Meadow to the Storm Tower. One creature per level and a boss at the end of every land. Each win snaps a chain on Queen Aria's cage, until you rescue her from Emperor Typhoon.
• Classic— endless block puzzle: clear lines, chase your best score. Opens after Level 3.
• Daily level— a new level every day with a twist and a coin prize. Opens after Level 10.

A friendly roster of foes

More than 40 creatures stand in your way: animals, plants, rock and crystal creatures and machines, each with its own trick. Meet the Green Slime, the Shell Turtle, the Bonk Bunny, the Teapot Hermit, the Frost Walrus and Admiral Snapclam. They grumble, sulk and come back later wearing a crown, but they are never gory.

Heroes, perks and items

Play as Sir Brickley, then unlock Ember and Mossback with coins. Perks are earned along the road, and coins buy boosts and tools for a tough fight. Coins are earned by playing or by watching an optional rewarded video; the game is free and has no real-money purchases. If you lose, you can try again for free: there are no lives.

Play anywhere

Block Knight plays offline. Your progress stays on your phone, and you don't need an account: the game gives you an anonymous player ID and a name like “Knight 4821”. If you like, tap Sign up with Google on your Profile to back up your progress and get it back on a new phone. If you never sign in, uninstalling the game or clearing its data removes your progress.
